Phil Emonson

Phil is a Technical Director and JBA's Climate Resilience Transformation Lead. He has 20 years of experience in flood risk, climate resilience and emergency planning and is currently JBA’s Framework Director for the Environment Agency’s Emergency Preparedness framework.

Phil is a Fellow of CIWEM, a PRINCE2 practitioner, and a Member of the Emergency Planning Society for whom he has chaired the national Flood Resilience Professional Working Group.  

Phil's interests lie in how social capital can build and enhance resilience to climate change. As JBA’s Climate Resilience Transformation Lead, Phil is responsible for driving organisational transformation and embedding the vision of JBA's company strategy, 'to lead in society's pursuit for resilience to climate change'.

Nick Steel

Nick is a Senior Graphic Designer and the lead Editor/Sound Engineer for the Climate Resilience Podcast.

He works within the marketing team at JBA Consulting, creating a range of digital and print media designs, including video and animated pieces, to support the wider business and assist with marketing-led and technical visual communication.

Nick has a BSc in Sound & Multimedia Technology and two decades of professional experience working in audiovisual design. He has been passionate about working with audio ever since his first family computer (an Amiga) allowed him to have creative fun with sound waves.

In both his work and his free time, Nick has a passion for creativity in its many forms and the natural world.
